Brass is different from other instruments: before fingerings or reading, there's the sound itself. Breath support, embouchure, and buzzing fundamentals determine everything a brass player will ever do - tone, range, endurance, and control all grow from the same root. We build that foundation carefully, because a student with a good sound and solid air will progress faster on everything else.
From there, lessons cover reading, valve technique, articulation, and range development - alongside the same musical framework every Anthem student gets: scales, patterns, and the why behind the music they're playing. Whether a student plays for themselves or is building toward ensemble work, the fundamentals are the same.

Private lessons are the fastest way for a band student to stand out - section leaders and chair placements are usually the kids getting individual instruction.
